TECHNICAL COMMITTEE STATEMENT

DAGGERBOARD LIMIT MARK – ALLOWED TAPES (CLASS RULE C.8.4)

As from January 1st, 2025, all PVC based and Vinyl rubber adhesive tapes are approved for the Daggerboard Limit Mark. The tapes shall be 25mm wide at minimum, UV-resistant and waterproof.
By way of example only, after being tested the following are suitable tapes:

  • Tesa 4104
  • Tesa 4204
  • 3M 471

    According to the Class Rule, the tape shall be applied full width and in contrasting colour.
    If in doubt, a request for compliance of the used tape can be submitted together with the tech specs to the
    Technical Committee (sciratc@gmail.com) for evaluation. Any additional approved tape will be posted on
    snipe.org.
