The SCIRA Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Snipe Class and Snipe competition.

The Class is honoring three categories: Sailing, Technical Design and Contributors – people who made significant contributions to the Snipe Class. 

For this 6th year, a maximum of five inductees were considered. Here are the inductees for 2024: 5 individuals who have made & left their mark on the Snipe Class:

• Andre Callot (BEL): great promoter of the Snipe Class in Belgium
• Nelido Manso (CUB): Snipe World Champion (with Octavio Lorenzo)
• Enrico Michel (ITA): great sailor and boat builder (DB Marine)
• John Rose (USA): sailor, snipe historian, snipe collector, contributor (1935-2022)
